I hope this meeting doesn't turn out to be a 2008 election ploy.

Why in the heck would this City go and schedule a meeting to inform the NEIGHBORHOODS about the most important changes to hit this city on the very same night that every neighborhood leader and city activist meet at Comm Link??????

Or this one with commentary on the Artists's Village?:

Thanks for the post Anon,
I wonder if the ComLink meeting was as lame and unproductive as the Renaissance meeting.

Sorry folks, maybe I should just go back to writing about carpet stores and local restaurants.

Ben, Any debrief to share with us?

Any truth to the rumor that a councilman was mugged on the way over to the Renaissance Meeting?

Stephen, it's been three days since the meeting and I'm still sorting through my notes to see if there is anything worth writing about.

All I can say is that the meeting was really unorganized and unprofessional. But hey, this is Santa Ana, so I guess one could say the meeting was a perfect representative of how the City is currently being run.

They did make mention of our ward representative Michele Martinez having her purse snatched, but she has yet to respond to my email.

Councilwoman Martinez' purse was stolen. She called me via her cell phone right before it happened. A kid on a bike swept in and took it while we were talking.

She is OK, but shook up by the incident.

This is the area where the Council wants to spend $15 million per mile to put in a very limited street car system.

Maybe they ought to do something about crime first?

Remember that this is also the area where two homeless thieves pried 14 very heavy memorial plaqued off of historic buildings, so they could sell them to area recyclers. This took place minutes from police headquarters.
