Being that St. Patty's Day takes place on a Tuesday this month, we've decided to celebrate it a few days early on Saturday.
And what would St. Patrick's Day be without prizes?
Stop by any of the participating locations and pick up a fresh Pub Crawl card and a set of GREEN BEADS.
Then, keep an eye out for both "Mr. Pub Crawl" himself and Yelp as they will be out and about looking for Pub Crawlers wearing green beads.
We'll have games to play and prizes to win for Pub Crawlers wearing the beads and have at least two stamps on their Pub Crawl Cards.
Prizes include: Afro Samurai for the Xbox 360/PS3, Shirts, iTunes Gift Cards, Chipotle Gift Cards, Free Drinks, Shot Glasses and more!
Here are some of the specials this month:
Lola Gaspar
$10 special (choice of any taco plate and a sangria, margarita, or pint of beer)
Tommy Pastrami
$3 ku bombs
$2.50 domestics
Happy hour prices on our delicious food
Memphis
Yummy corned beef sliders and $3 Guinness specials
Bistro 400
Irish Food, Drinks Specials and a Live DJ Spinning House and Dancefloor Oddities!

Me:Do you want to come to a party?
You:Where is it?
Me:In my pants.
There was a shooting last night at proof bar.. A couple of people were injured, if you're walking around Santa Ana be very careful, or go some place a little safer.
Anonymous,
If there are prizes in your pants, let's do this.
PineappleClock,
1. No one was actually shot.
2. The guy that shot the street was arrested.
3. It doesn't matter where you are, you always need to keep an eye out for your safety–especially at 2 in the morning.
Addressing your comment about going somewhere safer–that (false) logic dictates that one should then also avoid driving on the same street where a (hypothetical) drunk driver plowed into another car a few days prior.
Sorry man, fear mongering isn't bought, nor sold here.
Now come out to Santa Ana and win some sweet prizes damn it.
The fact that no one got killed is irrelevant.
Quoting a newspaper article is not fearmongering.
Drunk driving is quite violent, but rarely intentional - not on par with gunning someone down at a bar (or attempting it). You definately should avoid places where premeditated violent crimes are commited regularly. I'm just warning people who might not know.
I'm sure its not as bad as Watts or Compton, just don't start any shit and you'll be fine.
just don't start any shit and you'll be fine
very true. most of the people who are attacked in this town usually have some sort of gang affiliation.
MY Pub Crawl, that I work very hard in promoting does not target those groups.
When you say "I'm sure its not as bad as Watts or Compton", does that mean you've never been out to Santa Ana?
Have you ever been to Watts or Compton?
Not sure if you've heard, but Compton, much like Santa Ana is working really hard to turn things around with new developments like this, attracting new citizens that want to contribute to the revitalization efforts.
Yeah, we all have our uphill battles, but advising the good people to stay away from Santa Ana isn't part of the solution.
If your initial comment was truly sincere and you were really worried about the safety of complete strangers, then I applaud your efforts.
Otherwise, it's just another unnecessary warning to stay out of "dangerous Santa Ana".
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go hand out prizes to the brave folks that have opted to venture into Downtown Santa Ana for a night of good times and awesome food/drink specials.
I'll be there looking for the prize patrol!
They'll have green beer won't they?
:0)
Ben - thought you might be interested in this:
A group of residents have formed a group named NAG...Neighbors Against Graffiti.
We are very serious about our group and would like to have you or someone from your association be part of this group.
We are working on a mission statement and short and long term goals. You could say our ultimate long term goal is to do more than have the city just paint over graffiti at an annual cost of $4 million.
We want to change the city ordinance to do more than have stores lock up their spray paint-- the problem is much bigger. We want all of them to be responsible to our community and for them to do their part.
We are having a meeting this Sunday, March 22, 2 p.m. at Tish Leon's office, located at:
Public Law Center
601 Civic Center Drive West
92701
Funny you should post this Roya.
Don't worry, there is already a post in the works about NAG.
Thanks for the reminder!
I heart Pub Crawl when Colleen and Jack are there :)
Lots-O-Fun.
