and my gallery :)
Well, is your little community only for people that make art and paint? Or can anyone open a buisness there? Because me and my friend want to open a tortilleria because we dont have one in the neighborhood because the only one is El Metate and it's too far and all the neighbors don't have no cars. Who can I call to open the buisness?
it's definitely possible to open up a tortilleria. i'm personally in the recuirtment committee to get more artists shown, but I'll float your contact information to other gallery owners to rent out their space for a small restaurant. you'd have to leverage the train station being so close and somehow keep those customers returning as there aren't really that many spaces other than the train station.
Thanks for posting my video. We can't wait for the next Art Walk.

There are only certain types of food places that can run from the lofts, nothing vented, etc. Mostly deli types--you'd have to check the cc&rs.
anonymous post above me is correct. Per city of Santa Ana code (and I am assuming health department as well), you cant have an open flame and/or anything that produces smoke in the workspace.
That does not prevent one from cooking in the space above and selling in the space below......dont quote me on that, but seems like it would be workable...
Closest thing for fude use would be something like a sandwich shop or coffee shop.

what is fude?
sorry...typo. should be "food"
This is up at The Mom Blog at the OC Register. Maybe next Art Walk will have even more families. http://themomblog.freedomblogging.com/2008/11/04/take-the-kids-on-an-art-walk/2791/
See you then.
