Santiago Street Loft's First Police Meeting

Next Thursday, December 6th at 6:30PM, the Santa Ana Police Department will be hosting a community meeting specifically for residents of the Santiago Street Lofts, and any surrounding neighborhood communities.

The meeting will cover topics such as what type of suspicious activities to look out for, whom to call in different emergencies, crime statistics within our vicinity, and a special presentation from the Santa Ana Graffiti Task Force. At the conclusion of their presentation, the officers will be available for a question and answer session.

The meeting will be taking place on the 5th floor in the Santa Ana Train Depot tower. Elevator access is available to the floor if needed.

This is not only a great chance to learn about the problems concerning our neighborhood, but a terrific opportunity to meet and greet with your neighbors as well as local law enforcement.

Maybe put flyers up on the mailboxes, I think a lot of newbies are still unaware of the blog...

Most of the residents are in process of moving in here on my side. Maybe the flyer idea is good...

I originally found the blog by accident while researching my pending purchase.

I made up some flyers last night to tape to the mailboxes, but had to hold off putting them up due to the weather.

Of all the days?! It never rains in California!

Nonetheless, please inform your neighbors if you see them and I'll do what I can to get the flyers out.

Thanks all!

lets also remember that accumulated flyers on a front door is a sure sign that the home hasn't been entered in several days. Is it wrong of me to remove art walk cards and gas company door hangers if they've been there a few days to prevent it from looking like no one lives there? (I haven't done it yet, but I've considered it.)

Flyers left on the doors is never a good thing. It's like having a stack of newspapers sitting on the driveway of a house in the suburbs.

No one has complained to me about taking old flyers off of their doors yet–I say do it.
